Webster's Dictionary defines
"Art" as "the use of the imagination to make things
of aesthetic significance".
The art I create is a
direct reflection of my integrity. "You are in integrity
when what you do on the outside matches who you are in the inside. We
get into trouble not because we do things that are wrong but because
we approach our activities with divided intentions. Our body is doing
one thing while our heart is somewhere else. Anything worth doing, is
worth doing with a whole heart, whole mind, whole body."
When I read that quote from one of Mitch Alboms books, my life changed,
my art changed. Since that moment, every piece of art I have created
has been an expression of this. I no longer have the feeling of rushing
to get a piece finished because I truly enjoy each stage of every piece.
I believe strongly that "art"
should not be created or purchased to simply fill a space. Each piece
should be worthy of igniting a feeling. This is the only way that an
artist's vision can truly be shared. I hope you find something of meaning
here!
